“Thank you.” I stood in front of Ming and felt embarrassed. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
When I finished, I wanted to leave. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming Jessop shouted at me, “You didn’t wear your shoes, how are you going to go back?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“I…” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
In fact, because I took off my shoes to run, there seemed to be glass on the road, and it was stuck in my feet. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

I had doubts in my eyes and asked him, “How do you know?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming glanced out of the window and said, “Today, Sean has been requisitioned all the buildings that can be contracted. Not to mention me, I am afraid that few people in York don’t know.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I turned around and saw the lights flashing outside the building wishing me a happy birthday. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
But when I thought of Sean who left because Molly was pregnant. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
That was a great irony. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“He has no place to spend money.” I closed my eyes and smiled bitterly. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“Sean is a businessman. He doesn’t want to spend money for anyone.” Ming looked at the front where had a happy birthday light. He looked and said, “He is willing to spend so much money on you, which means he puts you in his heart.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“This may never have happened.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I smiled bitterly. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
He cared about me? <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Molly was the only one in his mind. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I was sitting in the car and suddenly realized that Ming Jessop’s car was not in the direction of York No.1. I looked at the strange scenery outside the window and asked him, “Where is this?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Maybe I trusted Ming very much. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Even if this was not the way home, I had no doubt that he would harm me. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming smiled, “Your foot hurts. I was on duty at the hospital today. I just went home to pick up some stuff. I didn’t expect to meet you. So I will help you with the cut on your foot and then I sent you home.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
My foot injury should be serious. I really needed to go to the hospital. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Soon, Ming parked the car at the door of a small private hospital called the Sunshine Hospital. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The car was parked near the door. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming opened the door for me. I got off the bus and thought that the wound on my right foot was serious. I wanted to use my left foot to step on the ground. However, my left foot just touched the ground and it hurts a lot. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I took a deep breath, and when I was brave enough to get out of the car, Ming was in front of me and said, “Come here, I will carry you.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“No, no, no.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I immediately waved my hand and said. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming still maintained a squat posture. He shook his head slightly and said in a gentle tone, “Are you going to leave a bloody footprint in the corridor of my hospital?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
His words embarrassed me a little. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I did have blood on my feet right now. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Hesitating, I still put my hand on the man’s shoulder. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
All the way, I was carried to the diagnostic room by Ming. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The nurse helped me with the wound on my foot. I had three pieces of glass on my feet. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
When the biggest piece of glass was pulled out, Ming took a doll of a bear and handed it to me. “Hold it, don’t be afraid, just be fine.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“Thank you.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I was holding the doll. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I watched the nurse pull out the largest piece of glass by tweezers, then disinfected my feet and wrapped them in gauze. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming asked the nurse to get me a new pair of nurse’s shoes. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Then he sent me home. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
On the way back, I asked him, “I didn’t think you were a doctor…” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“Well, I am a poor doctor.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming added. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I immediately said, “No, doctor is fine. It is a good job to save life.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
That was what I thought. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming glanced at me with a faint smile. “Thank you. I really like my job, too.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ming took me home. I just got out of the car and he chased me out. “Here you go.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I looked down. It was the little bear doll. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“No, no, no.” I subconsciously refused. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“Take it. It was given to me by a small patient before he was discharged from the hospital. I am an adult and it is useless to take, so I will give it to you.” He said, put the doll into my hand, and then added, “You are a child in my heart too.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
After he finished speaking, he returned to the car and drove away. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I looked at the bear doll, smiled unconsciously, holding the doll home. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
That night, maybe because of the little bear, I didn’t have sleeplessness. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The next day, as soon as I got to the office, I was blocked by a bunch of employees. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“June, it was your birthday yesterday, wasn’t it?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“Your boyfriend was so rich, he requisitioned all the buildings in the city yesterday.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“Yes, you have such a rich boyfriend, and you do not give us a clue. Why do you maintain a low profile?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Everyone was talking around. Then I only heard Billie say, “Her sister is our company’s biggest boss, Mr. Jessop’s fiancee, can she be poor?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
