Hearing Claire’s answer, Leo reaches out and pulls the bangs on Claire’s forehead. He touches her white, smooth forehead with his hand and says, “you don’t have a fever. But what’s in your mind?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire mumbles and shakes her head quickly. She pushes Leo’s hand away and says, “don’t make fun of me.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo says helplessly, “do you think I really need a secretary or really want you to work?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire says impatiently, “you’ve said it many times. President Howard, you are powerful, so I just need to be beautiful.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo fingers Claire’s eyebrows and smiles and says, “yes, you’re smart.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“But I don’t want to be a secretary all the time. It’s too boring.” Claire says discontentedly, “and we stay together every day. Don’t you feel bored?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo shrugs and makes it clear, “No.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“No one can make coffee like you. Only you can do it, so you have to be my secretary.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire says dejectedly, “I’m a designer but I can only make you coffee.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“Don’t you want to do that?” Leo looks sad. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“I do, but I can make you coffee at home. You can put me in charge of advertising in the company.” Claire says solemnly, “the company has suffered twice in advertising planning. If I take charge of it, there will be no problem.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo is almost convinced. He won’t stop Claire from doing what she wants, and Claire has talent. If she can play this talent, she will have a lot of fun. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire continues, “and I’m in the company anyway. I can come over and make you a cup of coffee from time to time.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo is really convinced. He compromises and says, “OK, but coffee is not enough.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire thinks about those things. Her heart beats and she blushes. She immediately says seriously, “no, this is the company…” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire’s voice is getting smaller and smaller, but Leo is not interested in listening. He leans over and blocks Claire’s mouth with a long, warm kiss. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire even chokes. The point is they’re in the office so Claire is shy. She pushes Leo away and wipes her mouth and says, “you’re a father. You are too frivolous.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo just smiles. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
They are silent for a moment. Claire asks, “I heard you are going to crack down on rumors about me?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo nods and says, “yes, I don’t want your reputation to be damaged. I can’t make you cheeky, so I have to shut up those who spread the rumors.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“You don’t have to. It’s troublesome.” Claire advises him. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“No, I have to do it for you.” Leo pats the table. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire continues, “I’ll be your wife soon. Is what others say important? And when I was your secretary, we were easily misunderstood. Others don’t know our previous relationship. So it’s normal for them to misunderstand.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo smiles and doesn’t talk. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire is embarrassed and says, “and the company hasn’t fully recovered. The staff are very busy. If you use these little things to make trouble.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“It’s not worth it!” Claire tries to sound serious and reasonable. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“It makes sense.” Leo thinks so. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“But I don’t want to reason. Whoever hurt you has to pay. I want to let go of hatred, but everyone has to pay for what he did.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo has a point, too. Claire is his girlfriend. He can’t be indifferent when his girlfriend is attacked. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo sneers and says, “and those rumors are not just about what happened when you were my secretary. Someone say you forced Tracy to leave and became my girlfriend with a conspiracy. Some even say Conan is the son of another mysterious man.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire thinks the mysterious man might be Juan. She changes the subject. “Is it about Tracy again?” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo smiles and says, “look, you’re interested in it, too. I’ve had the matter investigated. Soon we will know the result. You just need to stand quietly and watch.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Claire has no reason to go on. She succeeds in keeping Alyssa as Leo’s secretary. She doesn’t let her down, so she is relaxed. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo is thirsty and looks at Claire. “Didn’t you say you were bored? I’m just thirsty. Make me a cup of coffee.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

There is a knock at the door. Claire stares at Leo and says, “let me go, Leo.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Leo lets go of Claire and wants to know who is knocking. He shouts, “come in.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
It is Alyssa who knocks at the door. She smiles and says, “President Howard, Miss Bennett.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
